Oliver's litter mate, Prudence, then
died of leukemia and, once again, Catherine was informed of a vaccine
link. Catherine was heartbroken and resolved to research canine
health issues and share her knowledge with other dog lovers so that they
wouldn't have to go through the same tragic experience.
Catherine founded Canine Health Concern, an
international group of dog lovers and animal healthcare practitioners,
to research the cause of ill health in the modern dog. Always, the
trail kept coming back to over-vaccination and biologically
inappropriate pet food. Through Canine Health Concern, Catherine
seeks to educate dog lovers about natural diets and complementary
healthcare options.
In 1997, Catherine published the best-selling book
"What Vets Don't Tell You About Vaccines". She presents
research that ties vaccines with diseases such as arthritis, diabetes,
epilepsy, allergies, cancer, leukemia, behavioral problems, skin
problems, and a range of immune-mediated diseases.
For the last ten years Catherine has campaigned
tirelessly to change vaccination protocol of companion animals.
Her work has been featured in a prime-time TV Documentary and she has
prompted the British government to look into canine and feline
vaccination practices.
Catherine lives with two non-vaccinated six-year-old
Golden Retrievers who are protected homeopathically. She believes
their vibrant good health can be directly attributed to her chosen path
of treatments, food choices, and minimum pharmaceutical intervention.
